Rumble | Blu-Ray Versus HD DVD

It's that time of the week again, time to prostrate ourselves, submit our two combatants to the Google altar and let the group mind decide the victor. This week, in typical inflammatory fashion, I have decided the battle will be between Blu-Ray, in blue, and HD DVD, in red.

It has been decided. HD DVD wins. You can run the trend search for yourself here

It remains to be seen what the Playstation 3 will do for Blu-Ray, but as of now HD DVD sales outstrip Blu-Ray by 33% according to Wikipedia. Either way, I'll stick to getting my movies the old-fashioned way, divx.

    One thing to note is that both seem to be experiencing a sort of increase in the amount of people who are visiting associated sight or doing the searches.
